In 2009, Lena and Arnaud Roucaute Cabibel of the duet Lull (World / Acoustic Pop) decided to explore their side of Rock’n Roll and formed Betty Argo. They were joined by two energetic musicians: bassist / guiatrist Samuel Strouk (Eliades Ochoa; Caravan Quartet; Sam Smala) and drummer Jeremiah Pontier (The DO, André Ceccarelli). There followed a series of celebratory concerts in France (Paris, Lodève, Montpellier and others). In 2011 they were selected to travel to India and Nepal by Alliance Française and are performing in Kolkata as part of this grand tour. Their debut album is scheduled for release in September.
The sound of Betty Argo comes from the French Rock tradition with nuances of Reggae, Ska and Trip-Hop.
