BIOGRAPHY:

Performing to a live audience for the first time ever is the Thracian Quartet. Comprising of Denis Azabagic, Eugenia Moliner, Soumyajyoti Ghosh and Arif Khan, the quartet will perform music based on the album that the Cavatina Duo released last year, called the Balkan Project. Eugenia and Denis selected melodies (songs and dances) from the Balkans, the region of the world where Denis is from and composers from all around the world have arranged this music for the Duo. Now, with the inclusion of the tabla and bansuri, this is taken a step further. There now will be a fusion of western and Indian cultures and sounds. On the other hand historically the journey goes back to its roots, since this music has come over the course of history from India, and made it’s way to the Balkans.
