‘Undergound Authority’ was formed in early 2010, when the two bands known as !Banned and Skydive collaborated for a show. UA began performing frequently in the pubs of Kolkata and had it’s early share of success when placed runners up at the Yamaha Asian Beat 2010 held at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai.

They later auditioned for India’s got Talent (Season 2) and appeared on National television on Colors, working their way up to become one of the nine finalists on the show. Their performances received an overwhelming response from the Indian audience, winning the hearts of Indian celebrities like Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Ayushman and Kirron Kher.

The band is known for their politically inclined original compositions: ‘Protest Poetry’ as they call it.  After India’s Got Talent, they began covering Bollywood Retro songs, presenting them in their own style of rap-rock,  introducing their unique sound to a young fanbase of thousands.
