Monday Blues at The Big Ben is a weekly Jazz and Blues showcase. The concept
draws a parallel to the 70s when these genres defined the sound and vibe of the
Calcutta lifestyle. The immensely talented musicians involved include three decades
of active performers as well as some making a comeback to the live music
circuit.
Monday Blues debuts on 21st June 2010 with The Carlton Kitto Ensemble featuring
Nondon Bagchi, Debabrata ‘Bapai’ Mitra & Mainak ‘Bumpy’ Nag Chowdhury and Jazz
legend Carlton Kitto.
Greetings! We’re very excited to present the next version of the Littlei website today. Content is currently being populated with focus on a new way of reaching out to you via RSS, Facebook and Twitter. We’re also working on a spanking new photo gallery as well as getting media together for a new section for music downloads and concert videos. As you can see this has been a major overhaul so we’d really appreciate your feedback through these changes.
As the summer draws closer and the days get longer, we plan on making the nights even more eventful. SOHO2010 continues to host some of the most globally progressive electronic music with upcoming shows by the BBC Sound System from France and more.
Friday Night Live also delves deeper into live jams featuring some of the best session musicians in the city experimenting with jazz, funk, folk, electro-acoustic and alternative rock.
Happy Twentyten! Jazzfest, D.U.S.K. and a very laid back New Years eve. We couldn’t have asked for a better end given that this is looking like our busiest year yet.
