Paola Micieli & Azaan Khan

Paola Micieli of Italy has been a rock singer since the first years of her career & has studied music at CPM – the most prestigious school in Italy for rock singers. She has created the Fusion Project “Confluence”, where 3 Italian musicians and 3 Indian musicians play together for making the first Indo-Italian album sold in Italy and in India. She has performed in Milan, Rome, New York and Mumbai.

Azaan Khan comes from a long and illustrious background of Indian classical sitarists. His grandfather Ustaad Vilayat Khan is considered a legend of the sitar and his father Ustaad Shujaat Khan is one of the most sought after musicians of our time. Azaan plays genres ranging all the way from rock and grunge, to blues, jazz and acid jazz and has performed in numerous countries and cities around the world including Dubai, South Africa, the UK and the US.

The Monkberries

Formed in March 2009 with a combination of various musicians with diverse backgrounds and musical exposure.

“Eclectic” is the word that comes to mind when trying to define the sound of Calcutta based band “the Monkberries”. A typical set list of the band includes songs from artists like The Eagles, Bo Bice, Ben Harper, Poets of the Fall and Nil Langdrens Funk Unit just to name a few. The band also excels at giving old songs a new twist so that they sound relevant today just as they did back in the day.
