CRYSTAL AND THE WITCHES :

Crystal and the witches commonly known as CATW is one of the most prominent heavy metal bands from Kolkata.the band was formed way back in 2006 with an idea of breathing some fresh air in Kolkata’s ever so monotonous music scene of covers. We are heavily inspired by bands like bands like Children of Bodom, Kreator, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Sepultura, Megadeth, Deep Purple, Stratovarious, Killswitch Engage, Halloween etc .Inspiration makes apostles out of neophytes and its expressed with passion power and strong determination in what we play. It’s been a rollercoaster for us .The rides been anything but smooth and yet we have had fun and laughter all along in a journey that has lasted for two years .We have had our share of success and determination craves in us to achieve more ,go higher break newer ground.

FLASH FLOOD :

Plays groove metal mixed with a hardcore punk-killer live performance. dandy stage act – Hitting the circuit after almost 900 days

CHRONIC XORN :

The saying goes: ‘something has to change for everything to stay as it was’ – and this is justified in the arena of music as well. Its visible foothold emboldens us to think that a new trend is setting in – something is really getting changed and everything else driven by emotion remains unchanged! Great on stage, they dared to express their emotion in one of its acknowledged forms – “Inveterate anger” that’s where the band derives its name from, and having seen them, it can be said that “they are mutually exclusive and collectively explosive”.

WHAT ESCAPES ME :

The newest flag bearers of metal core in this city brutally crushing and conquering every thing in its path . Their music boasts of handy guitar work , speedy double pedal work and gut wrenching vocals along with killer bass-lines . They are in totality the 5 horsmen of the apocalypse – who guarantee to take you through a musical journey which will literally rip your heads apart .

NOT YET DECIDED :

A band. A mission. A err.. watever ! NYD or NOT YET DECIDED is a Calcutta based “band” that mixes Grunge, Post-Grunge, Nu-metal, Modern Rock etc etc etc and etc till you stop scratching ur head in confusion 😛 !!! We get high on humor and get stoned on life 🙂 join us and see the funny flip side o’ the world !

YONSAMPLE:

yon’ is the archaic dialect for the word ‘yonder’ (‘that’) . It indicates something (‘further but within sight’) (‘seperated in space’) or (‘coming from/going to a ‘distance’ indicated). ‘sample’ while intended as a kind of ‘representation’, here means an ‘example’, ‘instance’ or ‘illustration’.
Yonsample is a metal act from kolkata, India formerly known as moshpit.

Formed in 2008, they created a name for themselves winning most of the local competitions. They had their first line up change with Ani replacing Abesh(ex-bassist) in Jan, 2010. Considerable success came along their way when they bagged some of the most prestigious national competitions in 2009 and 2010.

After a break, they are back stronger than ever. With new thoughts and elements the band now stays with a newfangled identity.
